On January 17th, on the vibrant land hailed as the "Gateway to East Africa," the Harmony ICAR BYD Tanzania Flagship Store (BYD Tanzania) celebrated its grand opening. This new store is not only BYD's first brand flagship store in Tanzania but also marks the beginning of Harmony ICAR's deep cultivation in the Tanzanian market. As BYD's national general distributor in Tanzania, Harmony ICAR will join hands with BYD to promote the development of green mobility in Tanzania and contribute to the China-Tanzania "Belt and Road" cooperation.

In the future, BYD will continue to introduce more new energy models and collaborate with Harmony ICAR to jointly advance green mobility development in Tanzania.
Mr. Wu Song expressed that introducing BYD vehicles to Tanzania is a significant step in Harmony ICAR's long-term strategic layout in the African market. Moving forward, Harmony ICAR will persistently drive the introduction of a more diverse range of new energy models, the construction of a more comprehensive after-sales and service network, and the deepening of localization cooperation and talent development initiatives.
The event also featured a delivery ceremony for Tanzania's first BYD Shark 6 owner. Notably, even before the official opening, BYD's new energy vehicles had garnered widespread local attention. While the vehicles were still in the bonded warehouse, customers proactively requested to view them, demonstrating the local consumers' high recognition and trust in the BYD brand.
BYD Tanzania is located in Dar es Salaam, the former capital of Tanzania, adjacent to Julius Nyerere International Airport and the city's main traffic artery. Situated on a key commercial stretch with a high concentration of automotive brands, the store boasts convenient transportation and a superior geographical location. It is currently BYD's largest and most fully-functional brand experience center in Tanzania.
The new store covers a total area of nearly 2,000 square meters. Designed in accordance with BYD's international standards, it integrates sales, display, delivery, and after-sales service, dedicated to providing local consumers with a spacious, comfortable, and professional one-stop car purchasing experience.
The star model launched at this opening, the BYD Shark 6, with its powerful performance and high efficiency, is highly suited to Tanzania's climate and road conditions. Following the Shark 6, models such as the Dolphin Surf EV, Sealion 5 DM-i, and Sealion 6 DM-i will be gradually introduced to the store, further enriching the product matrix to meet diverse local mobility needs.
As the African automotive market enters a "golden period of growth," Tanzania exhibits immense market potential. In the future, Harmony ICAR and BYD will continue to deepen their strategic cooperation, deploy more stores in Tanzania, develop more dealers, and consistently improve the sales and service system. This aims to enhance the market influence of Chinese new energy vehicles in Tanzania and offer local consumers more green and intelligent mobility choices.
